SYSVOL
A folder which contains system files. For example scripts and policies

Share level Permissions
Can be implemented on NTFS and FAT partitions, can be set only on drives and folders. Different share permissions are Read, Change, and Full control
Shared Folders
You can share only folder, not files default permission on shared folder is Everyone Read. When you copy or move a shared folder, the folder is no longer shared. To hide a shared folder include a $ after the name of the shared folder.
Service Records
Allow DNS clients to locate TCP/IP based services used when client searches active directory, user attempts to change his/her password. An administrator modifies active directory.
Security Level Permissions
Can be implemented on NTFS, can be set on drives, files and folders. Different permissions are full control, modify, read & execute, write, read, list folder contents.
Server Message Block (SMB)
This refers to a protocol that enables clients to access files and to request services from a server on a network.
